Dr. Günther Kast GmbH & Co

Dr. Günther Kast GmbH & Co was founded in 1961 by Mr. Gunter Kast, PhD in Economics. Since 1966 the company produces and sales backlining materials for industrial book binderies.

Since the early 70-ies, along with the materials for industrial book binderies, Dr. Günther Kast GmbH & Co started to develop the production and marketing of glass fabrics for plaster reinforcement as one of the first companies in Germany. These materials were included in the main production program of the head plant, located in Sonthofen, Germany.

Since the launch of new production facilities in the early 90’s, Dr. Günther Kast GmbH & Co has developed the quality of glass for the graphics and construction engineering. The company offers colorings, finishings, coatings, and overprints according to the customers’ request. Due to the company technical support, a variety of products performance became available, e.g.: rubber coating, thermojunction and dissimilar materials joining.

In 1994, Dr. Christoph Cast joined the management of the company. From that day on, father and son began to implement further development plans together.

Purchasing the TOLNATEXT 1995, Hungarian glass fiber supplier, became a significant step for the family business. Investments in Hungarian division modernization allowed Dr. Günther Kast GmbH & Co to strengthen their position in the glass fiber sector in Europe. Today Tolna warehouse ships goods to trading organizations and manufacturers of facade warming plaster systems from 80 countries all over the world, including Russia.

Since 2007 company is oriented on the production of the following articles:

– facade reinforcement mesh for plaster work;
– alkali-resistant glass fiber mesh, interior mesh, tubular mesh, etc.
– fabric for screed;
– asphalt reinforcement fiberglass fabrics;
– anti-trickling mat used in greenhouses for water distribution; – anti-trickling mat used in greenhouses for water distribution;

Since January 2010, ProfileStstems has become Dr. Günther Kast GmbH & Co exclusive partner distributing its products in Russia.
